Nathan studied Law at Sydney through the Legal Practitioners Admission Board from 1991 until 1996, at the same time being employed at Kell Heard McEwan Solicitors gaining experience in general litigation and personal injury litigation. Since his admission as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW he has practiced in Shellharbour, Dapto and Wollongong in all types of property and commercial transactions, liquor licensing, commercial litigation, equity disputes, compensation litigation, general disputes and general litigation.
He has been a Director of Heard McEwan Legal since 2006. Having only ever lived in Wollongong, his strong community interests involving fundraising activities and active business networks are evident.
Nathan has previously been a Director of the Illawarra District Rugby Union Inc and a Board Member of the Vikings Rugby Club, and currently advises on the Player & Coaching Panel for the Illawarriors Rugby.
