Colin Hughes - Practice Manager

Colin was educated at Hawarden Grammar School in the UK and completed a Post Graduate Degree in Employment Relations at the University of Technology Sydney in1986.
Colin joined the UK Civil Service at the age of 18 as an Administrative Trainee and spent 5 years in the Civil Service.
In 1973 Colin moved to Australia where he joined Avis Australia as National Training Manager. In 1978 Colin left Avis and joined Kentucky Fried Chicken as National Training and Development Manager. In 1987 Colin joined IMB followed by time at Kell Heard McEwan and Kells The Lawyers. In 2007 Colin joined Heard McEwan Legal as Practice Manager.
Colin has wide experience at an executive level in large multinational corporations as well as smaller regional enterprises. Colin’s expertise encompasses many areas but he has a keen interest in strategic/business planning and process/workflow.
Colin is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a Chartered Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute and a Past President of the Institute of Financial Services (NSW Division).
